In getting ready for the Mac App Store launch, Chopper 2 for iPhone and iPad is now on sale for its first time at 99c. This is 80% off the regular price.

A new update, version 1.2 is also now available. This version of Chopper 2 adds the ability to control the Mac version of Chopper 2 with any iPhone or iPod Touch over WiFi. It also adds Game Center support, as an option alongside OpenFeint.

The original version of Chopper for iPhone/iPad is also now on sale at 50% off, also at 99c.

Just wanted to say that I read your Jan 18th rant. Dont take bad reviews personally. You have worked hard and honestly to give a product, and you should not care about childish complaints. I dont think the problem is mac users (it’s the new IOS users that are from all factions of the tech users). Mac users are usually very supportive, we had to be when most developers jumped ship in the 90s. It’s the internet vast public (in general) spewing opinions based on no life experience. Outrageous reviews are written by 12 year olds who think everyone owes them the world. They are given a 300$ device and then complain that a 99c app is not worth it. Makes no sense. Dont be discouraged. For every frustrated idiot posting a bad review, there are 10 satisfied customers that are not bothering leaving praise.

    Cheers

p.s. I cant get the remote to work and I dont have firewall issues on my network but no worries. I can live without it.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it needs controls for folks that do not have a multi-button mouse! I got it to work a little by using the Control button with the mouse button buy have not figured out how to make anything else work. Because I have an older Mac (white button) extended keyboard, I’d like to use the number pad for the controls and maybe like a real chopper have the left hand adjust speed and height and the right hand position and guns, etc.

I’d also make the first stage a “Flight School” to get checked out on (first) the chopper, then the guns and then the bombs. This would get folks ready to “advance” to playing the game without frustration..
