(working title, final name to be determined)
World Project is a work in progress game for Mac and PC made by one guy - me, @majicDave. It features a huge procedurally generated world larger than planet earth, and is designed to be experienced in VR, with support for the Oculus Rift, though it will also support non-VR play.
It's still early in development, so the feature set I'm heading towards will change. However it will definitely be multiplayer, feature a dynamic day/night cycle, and have deformable terrain. I also intend to add the ability to farm, to mine (though probably not through caves), and generally find and collect resources. I then want to add the ability to process these raw materials into more advanced ones through large player-built factories and structures. There will also be animals/monsters of some form, which probably puts this in the survival genre, but the focus is on creative play.
If this sounds overly ambitious, it's because it is! But I've released some pretty ambitious solo projects before, not the least of which was The Blockheads. This builds on everything I have learnt, and though it may take a few years, I believe I can pull it off, and that this will be something special.
